Engagement rings are not the same as wedding rings. An engagement ring is a token given by a man to a woman when a man proposes to a girl, or when the two parties are engaged. The engagement ring is worn by the man himself on the middle finger of the woman's left hand. The wedding ring is on the wedding day, the groom and the bride exchange rings, generally the wedding ring will be worn on each other's ring fingers, indicating that the heart is connected.
