1. Method of reapplying for marriage certificate
The party whose marriage certificate is lost or damaged may apply for a replacement marriage certificate at the original marriage registration department, or at the marriage registration office where a party's household registration is located, with his or her ID card and household registration book.
If the marriage file is deleted from the background of the original marriage registration office, the parties need to first go to the archives where the household registration is located, pull out the proof of the marriage relationship between the two people and print it out, and then hand it over to the Civil Affairs Bureau together with the household register and ID card to reapply for the marriage certificate.
Second, reapply for marriage certificate process
If the marriage certificate is lost or seriously damaged, the parties may apply for a replacement at the original marriage registration office.
If the original marriage registration office has opened an online service system, the reapplicant can make an appointment online in advance to make a suitable reapplication time to avoid the peak period of registration. If there is no online service system, you can directly go to the scene.
The successful appointment, according to the appointment time with the household registration book, ID card, and three two-inch recent half-body bareheaded photo to the original marriage registration office to apply for a marriage certificate. If you do not have an appointment, you can directly bring the materials to the site for reprocessing.
For a longer marriage time (more than ten years), the reissuing of the marriage certificate requires the reissuing person to first go to the archives where the household registration is located, pull out the proof of the marriage relationship between the two people and print it out, and the household registration book, ID card, three two-inch recent bareheaded photos, and submit it to the original marriage registration office for reprocessing.
