There is an age limit for getting a marriage license. According to Article 6 of Chapter 2 of China's Marriage Law, the age of marriage shall not be earlier than 22 years old for men and 20 years old for women. Both men and women need to be of marriageable age to receive a marriage license.
What are the materials for marriage certificate
1. Mainland residents:
(1) Household records of both parties;
(2) identity cards of both parties;
(3) a signed statement that he or she has no spouse and no direct relatives or collateral relatives within three generations with the other party;
(4) Three two-inch recent half-length bareheaded couple photos (can also be taken at the scene of the Civil Affairs Bureau).
2, Hong Kong residents, Macao residents, Taiwan residents:
(1) Valid passport and ID card;
(2) A statement notarized by the notary office of the place of residence that I have no spouse and that I have no direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations with the other party.
3. Overseas Chinese:
(1) your own valid passport;
(2) A certificate issued by a notary or competent authority of the country of residence and certified by the Embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country certifying that he or she has no spouse and no direct blood relation or collateral blood relation within three generations with the other party, Or a certificate issued by the Embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country that the person does not have a spouse and does not have a direct blood relation with the other party or a collateral blood relation within three generations.
4. Foreigners:
(1) a valid passport or other valid international travel document;
(2) a certificate of no spouse issued by the notary or competent authority of the country where he is located and certified by the Embassy (consulate) of the People's Republic of China in that country or the Embassy (consulate) of that country, or a certificate of no spouse issued by the Embassy (consulate) of the country where he is located.
