Non commissioned officers can get married before the age of 25. According to China's Marriage Law, men can get married at the age of 22, and the same applies to non commissioned officers. Getting married at the age of 25 is advocated by the military, not a mandatory requirement.
Marriage Procedure for Active Military Personnel
1. We need to prepare a marriage report (some grassroots troops even need to prepare a love report six months in advance).
2. Active duty military personnel must submit a written marriage application to the party organization or political organ of their unit one month in advance.
3. Political review letter investigation. If the other party is a local personnel, political review is also required, usually conducted in the form of letter investigation. If the female party has a specific work unit, her work unit seal and leadership signature are required.
4. Open a marriage introduction letter.
5. If using a student certificate to get married, the unit must provide proof that no military officer certificate has been issued.
6. Preparation materials:
A、 A love report and a marriage report.
B、 Both parties' household registration books and resident identity cards.
C、 Proof of marital status from the employer or a certificate issued by the neighborhood committee and stamped with the (street) marriage registration seal.
D、 Certificate of Pre marital Examination Qualification.
E、 Three recent front color bareheaded 2-inch group photos.
F、 Military personnel holding a certificate of marital status issued by a political institution at or above the regimental level.
Additional documents for special circumstances:
Those who have been divorced must present the original divorce certificate, and the first instance judgment must provide a valid certificate. Widows must present a death certificate of their original spouse.
