Nowadays, China does not require mandatory premarital medical examination, but it can check whether both parties are suitable for marriage and provide medical protection for marital life. Therefore, it is recommended to undergo premarital medical examination before obtaining a certificate.
1、 Suggest pre marriage examination before obtaining the certificate
In 2003, the government abolished the mandatory premarital medical examination system out of respect for citizens' rights, and premarital medical examination became a voluntary choice for individuals, who can choose whether or not to undergo premarital medical examination according to their own wishes. But premarital check ups are of great significance, and the country advocates that newlyweds undergo premarital check ups.
2、 Pre marital examination items
Physical examination, blood routine examination, urine routine examination, blood type, blood sugar, syphilis screening, gonorrhea screening, human immunodeficiency virus antibody (i.e. AIDS virus HIV) antibody detection, liver function test, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) detection, chest X-ray examination, B-ultrasound routine examination, premarital health guidance and consultation, and female vaginal secretion examination.
