2. The Legend of Roses
In ancient Greek mythology, the goddess of love Aphrodite was the most beautiful goddess in the world, even the king of gods Zeus fell in love with her. However, Aphrodite rejected Zeus's love and secretly fell in love with the beautiful young god Adonis. Zeus turned love into hate and forced Aphrodite to marry the ugliest god of fire, Hephaestus.
One day, Adonis was hunting outside and was bitten by a wild boar, causing blood to flow uncontrollably and falling to the ground. When he fell to the ground, he let out a long scream: 'Aphrodite.' Hearing her lover's tragic call, Aphrodite rushed to rescue him.
The rocks and thorns in the forest cut her feet and hands, and fresh blood dripped all the way. However, by the time she arrived at Adonis' side, he had already shed all his blood, and she was ultimately unable to save her beloved. Aphrodite burst into tears, and with her cries, wherever her blood dripped along the way, clusters of beautiful red roses bloomed with fresh red petals.
From then on, the red rose became a symbol of unwavering love.
