As long as the male and female parties bring their household registration books, ID cards, and a signed declaration of non consanguineous marriage, they can go to the marriage registration authority where one party's permanent household registration is located to register. With complete materials and both parties meeting the registration requirements, the marriage certificate can be obtained on the day of registration. Generally, the certificate will be issued on the spot shortly after registration.
Materials for marriage registration
1. Resident ID cards of both parties.
2. Household register of both parties (or collective registered residence certificate).
3. Proof of current marital status.
4. I hereby declare that I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
5. Three recent two inch bareheaded couple photos (can also be taken on-site at the Civil Affairs Bureau).
