Without a marriage certificate, children can register for household registration. According to the "Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Solving the Problem of Registering Household Registration for People Without Household Registration", unmarried children can apply for permanent residence registration with their "Birth Medical Certificate", one parent's resident household registration book, and an explanation of non marital childbirth, in accordance with the policy of voluntary household registration with their parents. Unmarried individuals who apply to settle with their father and have no household registration must also provide a paternity test certificate issued by a qualified appraisal institution.
Materials for household registration for unmarried children
1. Birth certificate issued by the baby's birth hospital.
2. If you are applying to settle with your father, you need to provide a paternity test certificate from a professional institution.
3. The birth service certificate issued by the family planning department (stamped with the approval seal of the street family planning department).
4. Babies born outside of their hometown should also have a certificate issued by their birth mother's unit or the family planning department of the street.
5. The household registration card of the mother of the baby (if married but the marital status on the household registration card has not changed, the mother should also hold her marriage certificate).
