According to Article 4 of China's Marriage Registration Regulations, when mainland residents get married, both the male and female parties should jointly go to the place of marriage registration to complete the marriage registration. This requires that both parties involved in marriage registration must jointly go to the marriage registration office to apply for a marriage certificate, personally fill out the marriage registration form, and sign it in order to complete the legal process.
