According to Article 5 of Chapter 2 of China's Marriage Registration Regulations, mainland residents who apply for marriage registration shall provide their household registration book, ID card, and a signed declaration stating that they have no spouse and no direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations with the other party.
