Marriage check ups are free of charge. The parties undergoing premarital medical examination must bring their household registration books, ID cards, and three one inch photos of each person to the community center where the male or female party's household registration is located to obtain the "Application for Free Pre marital Medical Examination Registration Card", and then go to the designated hospital to undergo free premarital medical examination. Free marriage check ups are required to be conducted three months before marriage registration or within one month after marriage registration, and additional fees must be paid. In addition, if you have not gone to the designated hospital for premarital check ups or want to add more examination items, you also need to pay for it at your own expense.
1、 The difference between free premarital check ups and self paid premarital check ups
The difference between free pre marital check ups and self paid pre marital check ups mainly lies in the examination items.
1. Free premarital medical examination
Routine examination: This examination mainly involves a simple internal medicine examination of the whole body to determine whether there are abnormalities in the heart, lungs, liver and spleen lymph nodes, and whether normal nerve reflexes exist.
Reproductive organ examination: This item is to check whether both parties have fertility. The female party mainly undergoes a double examination of the abdomen and anus. Once any genital lesions are found, a vaginal examination is required. The male party mainly checks whether the penis and testicles are underdeveloped and whether there is inflammation.
Auxiliary examination: mainly including routine urine examination, routine blood examination, rapid transaminase, hepatitis B surface antigen, syphilis screening and other relevant examinations, so as to determine whether there are sexually transmitted diseases or infectious diseases on both sides.
Special examinations: including inquiring about the history of mental illness, genetic history, as well as laboratory tests such as B-ultrasound, hormone testing, chromosome karyotyping analysis, and histopathological analysis of live tissues.
2. Self funded premarital medical examination
Newcomers who wish to undergo more detailed examinations based on doctor's advice or personal preference need to pay for the examination at their own expense. Those who undergo premarital check ups at non marriage registration offices or community designated hospitals also need to pay for their own premarital check ups. The premarital check ups are selected based on the hospital's premarital check up package and personal needs, and the fees are also charged according to the check ups.
