1. China
The legal age for marriage in China is 22 years for males and 20 years for females. However, some ethnic minority areas may have slight differences according to local autonomy regulations.
2. United States
The legal age for marriage in the United States is 18 years for males and 18 years for females. But there are two exceptions, Nebraska at 19 years old and Mississippi at 21 years old. However, in practice, most states allow marriage under the age of 18 with parental consent and/or court permission (usually over 16 years old, but some also allow under 16 years old), and in some states, pregnant women under the age of 18 can marry without parental consent or court permission.
3. United Kingdom
The standards vary from place to place. In England and Wales, it is 18 years old and marriage can take place at the age of 16 with parental consent; In Scotland, it is 16 years old; In Northern Ireland, marriage is allowed at the age of 16 with parental consent or other special circumstances.
