It can provide medical security for a happy marriage life.

1、 What items need to be checked during the premarital examination

1. Inquire about medical history

Understand whether both parties have a history of mental illness, infectious diseases, genetic diseases, urinary and reproductive system diseases, intellectual development disorders, etc. that affect marriage and childbirth, as well as whether the couple preparing to get married have close relatives and a family history of genetic diseases.

2. Physical examination

Routine internal medicine examinations include examinations of the five senses, heart, lungs, liver, spleen, bones, muscle tone, limb movements, etc., such as whether the heart and lung function is normal, whether there are nerve reflexes, and whether lymph nodes such as liver and spleen are enlarged.

When necessary, relevant pathogen confirmation experiments will be conducted based on specific circumstances, such as semen examination, genetic diagnosis, chromosome karyotyping analysis, etc.

4. Genital examination

Check whether there are any lesions in the reproductive organs of both parties. Women should undergo abdominal and anal double examination to determine if the cervix and vagina are developing normally; Men should check whether their reproductive organs are developing normally, whether there is inflammation, varicose veins, etc.

2、 How long does a premarital check-up take

Marriage check ups usually take 1-2 hours, depending on the number of people and examination items at the hospital on the day of the check-up. If the number of people is small and there are no additional self funded examination items, all examinations can usually be completed in about an hour; If there are many people queuing, it may take more than two hours. The time to obtain the examination results also varies depending on the selected items. Usually, the results can be obtained the next day, but for complex items like chromosome examination, it may take four to five days to obtain the results.
