Diamond color kl refers to the diamond color grade, which is light yellow (brown, gray) or white. K-L belongs to the lower middle color grade, and diamonds of this color grade can be observed with the naked eye with a faint yellow hue. K-L grade diamonds are relatively cheap, but due to their dark color and poor fire color, it is not recommended to purchase them.
Diamond color grade
Diamond colors are divided into 23 levels, ranging from D (high-quality colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown), with levels decreasing step by step. These 23 color levels are divided into several major categories based on color tone:
Colorless (D-F): the rarest and therefore most precious
Near colorless (G-J): a color that is difficult for others to perceive except for trained grading technicians
Micro yellow (K-M): a color that is still difficult for untrained individuals to distinguish
Extremely pale yellow (N-R): a faint color that untrained individuals can see with the naked eye in larger diamonds
Light yellow (S-Z): a color that can be seen in diamonds of all sizes, and diamonds have a darker color with poor fire color.
