(3) The female party needs to apply for a new ID card after settling in.
2. Husband and wife registered in the same province but different counties
(1) With the marriage certificate and the woman's household register, go to the woman's registered residence police station to change the marital status to married, and open a registered residence certificate.
(2) Take both parties' household registers, ID cards, marriage certificates, the woman's registered residence certificate, and the man's village (neighborhood) committee card to the man's local police station to fill in the household entry application form and report it to the county public security bureau for approval (some areas need to provide the family planning office's marriage and childbirth certificate).
(3) After approval, the household registration can be transferred online or transferred to the female party's police station with the household registration permit certificate.
(4) The female party needs to apply for a new ID card after settling in.
3. Husband and wife have different household registrations in different provinces
(1) With the marriage certificate and the woman's household register, go to the woman's registered residence police station to change the marital status to married, and open a registered residence certificate.
(2) Take the man's household register, ID card, marriage certificate, the woman's registered residence certificate, and the man's village (neighborhood) committee certificate to the man's local police station to fill in the household application form and report it to the county public security bureau for approval (marriage and childbirth certificates are required in some areas).
(3) After examination and approval, obtain the residence permit certificate to open a residence permit at the women's registered residence police station.
(4) Take the man's household register and the woman's household registration transfer certificate to the man's registered residence police station for settlement.
(5) The female party needs to apply for a new ID card after settling in.
2、 Precautions for the female party's household registration transfer after marriage
1. Do I need to be present in person
The household registration for marriage transfer may not be carried out by the individual themselves, but the parties involved should provide personal identification documents, identification documents of the agent, and a power of attorney. Sometimes the public security bureau may have doubts about the relocation materials and suggest that when selecting a representative for those who are not present, parents and siblings should be given priority consideration.
