The cleanliness standard of Mozambique diamond

The clarity is divided into 6 levels and 11 sub levels, in descending order of FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, I1, I2, and I3 levels. The closer the Mozambique diamond is to FL grade, the fewer flaws it contains.

Clarity level 1:

FL refers to the cleanliness of moissanite observed under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass, where there are no inclusions inside or outside the gemstone.

Clarity level 2:

IF refers to examining the interior of moissanite under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass without any flaws, but there may be slight imperfections on the surface that can be removed by re polishing.

Clarity level 3:

VVS refers to the observation of minimal flaws in the pavilion or exterior of moissanite under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass. The difference between VVS1 and VVS2 is that the latter has extremely small cotton like dots and small stubble.

Clarity level 4:

VS refers to the observation of very small flaws in moissanite under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass. The difference between VS1 and VS2 is that the latter may have tiny cotton like dots or small stubble.

Clarity level 5:

SI refers to the ability to easily see flaws in moissanite under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass, but not with the naked eye.

Clarity level 6:

P1, P2, and P3 refer to the small flaws that are easily visible when examining moissanite under a 10x gemstone magnifying glass. They are just visible to the naked eye, with some showing obvious cleavage and cracks.
