Nowadays, to apply for marriage registration, one must personally go to the Civil Affairs Bureau in the place where one party's household registration is located. The marriage registration procedure is roughly divided into six steps:
1. Appointment Registration
After setting a good date for obtaining the license, it is not only very convenient but also saves time queuing on site by making an online appointment in advance. Bring the necessary documents and arrive at the Civil Affairs Bureau 10-20 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Copy the relevant documents as required.
2. Obtain the marriage examination form
Marriage check ups are free and voluntary, but it is recommended that newlyweds undergo them. This is not only responsible for themselves, but also for the other party. There is usually a premarital examination center near the place where the certificate is issued. If not, you can find another time to go to the designated premarital examination hospital for a physical examination. If you are afraid of wasting time, you can also call in advance to inquire about specific matters.
3. Fill out the Declaration
Both parties shall collect and fill out the "Application for Marriage Registration Declaration" and the "Declaration of No Spouse or Blood Relationship" at the hall of the Civil Affairs Bureau with their personal identification materials. After handing over the declaration to the staff, they shall wait for notification.
4. Review
The acceptance personnel will review the content of the acceptance materials, and those that meet the marriage conditions will be processed. If they do not meet the requirements, they will be returned and the reasons will be explained.
5. Take wedding registration photos
Three marriage registration photos are required in the required documents for obtaining the certificate. If the newlyweds have taken them in advance, they can directly give them to the staff.
6. Issuance of marriage certificate
After everything is verified to be correct, the staff will paste the marriage registration photo onto the marriage certificate, stamp it with a steel seal, and issue the marriage certificate to the newlyweds on the spot.
