South African diamonds are natural diamonds, while moissanite is a cultivated gemstone that grows in a simulated natural environment. There are significant differences between the two in terms of raw materials, appearance, and price.
1. Raw materials
Mozambique diamond is artificially synthesized by cultivating two minerals, carbon and silicon. It is the second hardest gemstone in the world, second only to South African diamond in hardness. South African diamonds are polished diamonds, which are a natural mineral.
2. Appearance
Mozambique diamond has bidirectional refraction and a brilliance 2.5 times that of South African diamond. Mozambique diamond has a high refractive index and rich fire colors. Diamonds only have two colors, blue and orange, and Mozambique diamond has more fire colors. Mozambique diamond is generally more beautiful than diamond.
3. Price
Mozambique diamond is an artificially synthesized diamond, similar to South African diamond. The market price of Mozambique diamond is only one tenth of that of South African diamond, and the market price of Mozambique diamond with low quality is even less than half of that of South African diamond. Moreover, with the increase of production, the resale value of Mozambique diamond becomes lower and lower.
